My friend George and I went to Avila beach this week and look at what we found in the mountains there!!! We loaded up the chevy and hauled 21 tile tables home to Fresno. It took us about   1 1/2 hours to make them all fit in the truck. I also had the pleasure of meeting one of Georges long time friends Randi who is a tile nut like the rest of us. Thank you for all of your hospitality and I hope that we can come and visit you again some time soon!!!

On March 26th (Sunday) the streets of Old Town Clovis were filled with antique vendors from all over the valley. Of course being that Clovis is my home town, I was out at 4 AM  when the vendors were setting up. I searched and searched, but I did not find any tile tables to buy.

 I did find a nice hand thrown Garden City bowl and flower frog in green--but I sold it right away.  After about 6am , I set up my booth in front of our shop "4th Street Antiques"  I had decided to take a lot of tile tables and some other interesting items to sell. I wanted to expose the public to tile that they had never seen before. Many people came into my booth and talked to me about the tile and the tables. I was hoping that people would see how interesting the tiles are and maybe consider collecting. After a long day, we packed it up and went home. Alameda is next weekend and I will be selling there--come by and say hello if you are out shopping there.  Here are a few photos from this weekend:

The day before the show I bought 2 tables from a friend. One was a Taylor and one was a Tudor. Just today I finished paying off a table that I have really been looking for--The D&M scenic of the man fishing in the 8 inch tile. Here are a few photos of those:
